Deer Issue
1. The issue with deer is that the population of it is increasing at a great rate. And this is a problem for the deer because once the population grows, food becomes limited for the deer. Since there are so many deer, some don't get enough food for themselves and normally die of starvation and lack of food. Another problem with the deer would that they would have nowhere to go causing them to move close to the roads resulting in car accidents. That is the problem with the overpopulation of deer.
2. Options:
-
Hunting:
Positive: You would be killing the deer and using it for food and other things.
Negative: You would be killing deer and you may be killing to many and might frighten any other deer around the area.
-
Trapping and Relocating:
Positive: You would be taking the deer to a different place resulting in the population decreasing.
Negative: Where would you put the deer if it's not in its natural habitat?
-
Chemicals:
Positive: You would be decreasing the population of the deer.
Negative: You might be doing something wrong which could end up ruining something natural in the deer population and it may change everything.
3. If I was an ecologist in an area that has twice as many deer as it can support, then I would let nature take its course.
