Definition: Species that a lot of effect on its environment and ecosystem.

All the species in that ecosystem rely on each other. 

Examples: Elephants, alligators, bees, grizzly bear, california sea otter. 

Without one of these animals in the ecosystem, the rest will all pass away because they all rely on each other.
